Latest release of Darksider series. The core gameplay is third person hack-and-slash action adventure filled with RPG element.
Darksiders II follows the exploits of DEATH, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels DEATH through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother WAR, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.

The art style is fantastic and the storyline is engaging enough. Too bad the game suffers from so many random glitches.

Certain areas and characters shine, others look remarkably SD.

Some solid tracks here, but many are overused and occasionally out of place. More variety would have been much appreciated.
8 |Gameplay
The action is fun, even though the enemies and puzzles can be repetitive. The RPG elements are incredibly well-implemented.
7.5|Lasting Appeal
There's plenty to do, and certainly plenty of fun to be had, but it's all stretched thinly across a far too long adventure. Less would have been more, in this case.
